
Unknown whale buys 207 BTC as Bitcoin slips to $62,000
On 16 November, the holder of the third-largest Bitcoin wallet bought 207 BTC as the price of the leading cryptocurrency fell to $62,053.
In total since the start of November this whale has purchased 2,135 BTC. On 9 November, after Bitcoin reached the $67,510 level, it withdrew 1,500 BTC ($101.2 million).
The current aggregate balance of the address stands at 108,528 BTC (more than $6.5 billion at the time of writing).
On 16 November the price of digital gold dipped below the $59,000 mark. The price has since recovered to $61,218, according to CoinMarketCap.
Earlier in June 2021, the same whale bought 4,106 BTC during Bitcoin’s fall to $30,000.
Among the possible owners of the wallet are Mark Zuckerberg, the founders of the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange, the Winklevoss twins, and Elon Musk.
