US blockchain startup announces grant for IPFS-based projects
The San Francisco–based blockchain startup Unstoppable Domains has launched a grant program for innovative projects that use IPFS technology.
The goal of the grant is to continue the global push toward decentralisation of the internet.
Products using IPFS technology that were launched by March 15, 2021, or their working prototypes, may participate in the grant program.
The grant includes:
- up to $2,500 to launch the project;
- the option of free registration of .crypto or .zil domains;
- reaching over 200,000 potential customers among the Unstoppable Domains community;
- the opportunity to work on the product under the mentorship of leading blockchain entrepreneurs.
“When building a decentralized network, it is critically important to focus on expanding functional interoperability. That’s why we created Unstoppable site templates based on the p2p protocol IFPS, which is aimed at developing distributed networks,” said Brad Kam, co-founder of Unstoppable Domains.
Team applications are accepted until February 28, 2021. When filling out the form, be sure to indicate ‘IPFS Grant Program’.
Earlier in July 2020, Unstoppable Domains unveiled the beta version of the Unstoppable Chat (dChat) protocol. It enables storing data on its own servers using crypto wallets and the integration of p2p networks.
