US firm to buy 30,000 Antminer S19j Pro miners from Bitmain

The Chinese manufacturer of mining equipment Bitmain will deliver 30,000 Antminer S19j Pro devices to the US-based company TeraWulf.

Under the agreement, the miners will be delivered monthly, from January to June 2022. In total, the company expects its hashrate to rise by 3 EH/s.

TeraWulf plans to become a public company. The company’s website states that it is more than 90% carbon-neutral.

Earlier, Bitmain offered Chinese miners help with relocating abroad.

According to the forecast by Kevin Zhang, vice president of the American mining company Foundry, by the end of June approximately 90% of Chinese cryptocurrency mining enterprises will disconnect their equipment due to restrictive measures by authorities regarding the industry.
