The volume of assets locked in the Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract has reached 5.21 million ETH ($13.59 billion at current rates).

That figure accounts for 4.49% of the circulating supply of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

According to beaconcha.in, 153,549 validators are operating in the Ethereum 2.0 ecosystem. 4.9 million ETH are in staking (an average of 32.83 ETH per address).

Validator participation has fluctuated in the 98.7%–99.5% range, with a brief dip to 97.9% on May 14.

The staking yield fell to 7% per year.

In late April, the amount of locked funds in the Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract exceeded $10 billion (3.99 million ETH).
