Value of bitcoins locked in the Lightning Network hits a new high.

The total value of bitcoins on the second-layer Lightning Network (LN) has reached a new all-time high of $12.4 million, according to CoinDesk.

The total number of coins in LN channels stands at 1,060 BTC. Since the start of the year, the figure has risen by 24%, but remains below the 1,105 BTC record from May 2019.

Earlier, Lightning Labs introduced the beta version of the LND v0.11 client, which lifts the transaction-size limits in LN.
