Velas to launch blockchain accelerator and a $250 million fund

The Velas blockchain ecosystem announced the launch of a business accelerator and the creation of a $250 million fund to support developers. Participants will receive assistance in developing their projects and investments: $25,000, $50,000, $100,000 and above. The amount of funding depends on the project’s prospects, the team’s expertise, the development stage, and other factors.

Applications will be reviewed by experts: developers, analysts, marketers, and designers. The fund’s launch is planned for the end of 2022.

Winners will receive:

• technical expertise and assistance from specialists;
• three months of mentorship to help establish workflows;
• marketing support, token-sale organization and promotion;
• $25,000 and more depending on the complexity and degree of product completion.

Velas believes the accelerator’s work will positively affect the popularity of the VLX token: participants will be able to integrate it into new and existing solutions.

“I believe the fund will open opportunities for developers and contribute to the Velas ecosystem and the crypto industry at large. For now we have no hard rules: all participants with good ideas can receive help from Velas,” says Velas CEO Farhad Shagulyamov.

The fund and accelerator will operate separately from Velas’s грантовой программы Velas. Grant recipients will also be able to participate in the accelerator and receive additional investments.

Velas is a hybrid eBPF/EVM blockchain, compatible with smart contracts in Solidity, C and Rust. By leveraging Solana and Ethereum technologies, throughput reaches up to 70,000 transactions per second.
