The Visa Masters of Movement auction features five digital artworks. The NFTs are based on the iconic goals scored by Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Michael Owen, Maxi Rodríguez, and American soccer player Carli Lloyd, scored during previous World Cups.
The digital collectibles were created in collaboration with XK Studios. Auction winners will receive the asset to their Crypto.com wallet, along with a printable file and signed memorabilia from the players.
The auction closes on November 8. All proceeds will go to the British charity Street Child United.
The partners plan to continue the experiment and offer fans the opportunity to create NFTs based on their own \”signature moves\” on the interactive FIFA Fan Festival platform in Doha. The tracking technology will translate shots on goal and demonstrations of skill into digital art, the press release says.
\”We are very pleased to collaborate with Visa to bring Visa Masters of Movement to life and offer fans the opportunity to create and collect unique collectibles at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, which will forever remain on the blockchain,\” said Crypto.com’s Chief Marketing Officer Stephen Kalifovets.
Earlier this year, Visa launched an educational program to develop business with NFTs.
