Vitalik Buterin Transfers 2.1 Million STRK from Personal Wallet
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has transferred approximately 2.1 million Starknet (STRK) tokens, valued at around $858,750, to an external wallet, according to Arkham Intelligence.

The day prior, the programmer unlocked 1.26 million STRK from the Starknet LockedTokenGrant contract.
STRK tokens represented the second-largest portion of Buterin’s portfolio after ETH. At the time of writing, the address identified by Arkham as Vitalik Buterin’s holds assets worth $560.3 million.
In late August, the Ethereum co-founder assured users that he had not sold his ETH holdings and had retained the proceeds since 2018.
He stated that all asset sales were directed towards supporting various projects or charitable causes. This also applies to his L2 network tokens, Buterin added.
BTW the above also applies to L2 tokens or other project tokens I hold (incl not-yet-liquid): all proceeds will be donated, again either to support public goods within the ethereum ecosystem or broader charity (eg. biomedical R&D).
I also do not intend to invest into L2s or…

“[…] I also do not intend to invest in L2 or other projects in the foreseeable future. My goal in allocating funds is to support what I consider valuable, especially in cases where ecosystem participants may underestimate the potential. Going forward, I plan to do this only through donations,” the programmer stated.
On August 9, he transferred 3000 ETH (approximately $7.9 million at the time) to a multisig wallet. This led analysts at Lookonchain to speculate that the funds were intended for donations.
SpotOnChain noted Buterin’s regular use of the Railgun transaction privacy service in recent months.
In 2022, Elliptic specialists classified the protocol as a popular alternative to the US-sanctioned Tornado Cash mixer. Notably, North Korean hackers Lazarus Group have used Railgun, highlighted journalist Colin Wu.
Buterin responded in a comment that “privacy is normal.”
In February, the STRK airdrop commenced when the Starknet team unlocked 728 million tokens for over 1.3 million wallets.
