Vladimir Cohen: AI Surpasses Humans in Art
Contemporary art mirrors the cryptocurrency market with its hype and Pump & Dump schemes. Trader Vladimir Cohen discussed with ForkLog how artificial intelligence will transform the field, the regeneration of cells, the prospects of brain chip implants, Zen Buddhism, and “proper” biohacking.
ForkLog (FL): How did you first learn about cryptocurrencies, what did you hear, and what has your experience on the crypto market taught you?
Vladimir Cohen (V.C.): This market truly captivated me as a new, alternative to traditional finance, as a technological direction where transactions fly and you can see them yourself, track, and control them. It was precisely this idea of decentralization, instant payments, low fees that drew me into crypto. And, of course, the venture aspect as well.
FL: What was the biggest mishap you experienced during your years in the crypto market?
V.C.: My short on Waves. I started shorting it from $8, and my position grew enormously up to $58.
FL: On July 18, XRP hit an all-time high. Do you think the growth will continue?
V.C.: It’s a manipulative tool, there’s no economy there. Those buying at these highs, I’m sure, will get caught. The developers have a good reserve of bitcoins on their balance sheet. They pump XRP using bitcoin. It’s important to understand that almost 50% of XRP is with them, and they can release it at any moment.
FL: What recent scientific discoveries have impressed you the most?
V.C.: It’s primarily the progress observed in stem cells, tissue regeneration, organ cultivation, and the like. There was an interesting piece of news that a gene known for its regeneration, Hand2, was discovered in humans.
FL: What is your stance on brain chip implants?
V.C.: This will develop. I don’t have moral or other restrictions here against interfering with the brain. Although there’s a hidden threat that people could somehow be controlled.
FL: What does biohacking mean to you?
V.C.: I came to biohacking from an early student age. Firstly, I’ve been practicing yoga since I was 16. I’ve practiced various fasting methods. My maximum was a week. You feel terrible, of course, but it’s beneficial. Since about the fourth grade, I’ve practiced sleeping no more than four to five hours a day.
FL: Is artificial intelligence capable of creating art?
V.C.: An astonishing shift in forecasts and perceptions. What did we think? Robots would do the routine work for us, and we would engage in creativity. What artificial intelligence is doing now, in terms of visual art, is far superior. Modern art reminds me of the crypto industry, the Pump & Dump technology. Hype, marketing, selling useless stuff. For insane money.
