Warner Music Group signs partnership with The Sandbox NFT project

Warner Music Group (WMG) will open a music-themed park in The Sandbox’s metaverse.

WMG plans to use virtual LAND parcels to create a space that will serve as a theme park and, at the same time, a concert venue.

“We are currently focused on the Web3 concept and how it will affect music,” said Oana Ruksandra, WMG’s vice president of business development.

Representatives of The Sandbox promised to hold an auction of virtual LAND parcels bordering the proposed Warner Music Group venue.

Earlier, in partnership with venture firm Brinc, the project announced the launch of a program that will commit $50 million to support 100 startups working in the metaverse.

In the last 24 hours, the SAND token rose 5.3% to $3.42, according to CoinGecko.

The Hong Kong company behind The Sandbox Animoca Brands raised $358.9 million at a $5 billion valuation.
