Waves Enterprise unveils a new version of its network

The Waves Enterprise blockchain platform team released version 1.3 of the node, whose activation boosts network performance by 30%, expands functionality, and improves the application’s user interface.

In total, more than 20 changes have been implemented in the new version. Tools tailored to the needs of major customers and regular platform users have also been introduced.

The 1.3 version allows some types of smart contracts to run in parallel across multiple threads. On average, this will yield a fivefold increase in the throughput of smart-contract calls.

The main network’s performance has been increased by 30% through optimization of latency timings during microblock generation.

The ability to validate smart-contract execution results across multiple network nodes has been introduced.

This option can be activated when higher reliability of smart-contract execution is required.

Support for S3/Minio as private-data storage has been introduced to handle large data volumes and processing.

In the platform’s user interface, a new ‘Network Statistics’ section appeared. It displays information about the number of nodes in the network, average block size, the number of blocks in the chain, load, as well as statistics for a selected period.

In the settings, a calculator to estimate leasing payments was added. Support for DockerCall-v3 transactions and a new DockerUpdate transaction were added. In addition, the feedback feature has been activated: customers can promptly contact the developers.

Earlier in July, Microsoft and Waves Enterprise signed a memorandum of cooperation to develop blockchain solutions and cloud technologies for the corporate sector in Russia.
