Waves launches ambassador programme built on PowerDAO
Developers of the Waves blockchain have launched the Waves Ambassador DAO, a programme in which community members support the project and take part in its development, according to a press release.
For participating in activities, ambassadors receive PWR, the PowerDAO protocol’s tokens for creating DAOs on Waves.
“The idea is simple: your contribution is your vote. From content creation to event organisation, every participant can contribute. Governance via a DAO guarantees transparency and equality,” Waves representatives commented.
To take part in the programme, you need to:
- choose a role based on your skills and social-media reach. The main roles include: Waves Army (active social-media users), KOLs (key opinion leaders) and Local Managers (moderators of local groups and events);
- complete tasks such as reposts, likes and comments on X/Telegram, take part in votes and discussions on exchanges. Content creation is also encouraged: articles, videos, memes.
Each month the Waves team publishes new activities on Zealy and awards 3 PWR to the top 20 ambassadors.
“Waves Ambassador DAO is more than a user-engagement programme. It is an example of how DeFi allows the community to participate directly in shaping the future of Web3. In an era when ecosystems are built by the joint efforts of developers and active users, such initiatives are becoming the new standard of interaction,” the press release says.
Waves is a blockchain for deploying smart contracts and launching decentralised applications. In November 2024 the project launched the Units.Network mainnet, a solution for interoperability between Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana and other blockchains. The WAVES token is traded on Bybit, Bitget, KuCoin, HTX and other exchanges.
Earlier, ForkLog published an interview with Waves founder Sasha Ivanov about Units.Network and PowerDAO.
