Will Smith and The Weeknd invest in metaverse-focused Everyrealm

Actor Will Smith and musicians The Weeknd and Marc Anthony have invested in the startup Everyrealm. Decrypt reports this.

The celebrities joined the Series A financing round, which Everyrealm conducted in February. As a result, the total amount of investment rose to $62.5 million. The company did not disclose its valuation, but noted that it was \”several hundred million dollars\”.

\n\n

The Everyrealm business is built around purchasing virtual land in metaverses and ‘building’ on it digital real estate assets offering various services to users. According to the company’s site, its portfolio includes more than 3,000 NFTs, more than 100 digital real estate assets across 25 digital worlds, and a GameFi guild.

\n\n

Among Everyrealm’s investors are Paris Hilton, rappers Nas and Lil Baby, and KISS’s bass guitarist Gene Simmons.

\n\n

Earlier, the digital real estate platform Roofstock raised $240 million following a Series E financing round. The company was valued at $1.9 billion.
