Bitci will list Wolves tokens on its own cryptocurrency exchange.
A long-standing partnership will allow the platform to display its logo on the Molineux Stadium, where Wolverhampton Wanderers have played since 1889, in the 2021-2022 season.
“We look forward to exploring fan token options that will create another way to engage our supporters in the UK and abroad,” said club spokesman Russell Jones.
The Bitci platform also collaborates with the Turkish national basketball team and McLaren Racing in Formula 1.
Previously, the blockchain company Chiliz entered into a similar partnership with football clubs Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, West Ham United, Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, “Milan” and the mixed martial arts league UFC.
In May, the Formula 1 teams Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo announced fan tokens on the Socios.com platform.
