In Angarsk, a production workshop housing mining devices burned down. The Emergencies Ministry for Irkutsk Oblast said this, via RIA Novosti.
The preliminary cause of the fire was an electrical short. The equipment for cryptocurrency mining was located in a furniture-manufacturing workshop.
The amount of damage and other further details were not disclosed. There were no casualties.
Earlier in December, in Thailand a Bitcoin mining farm burned down, consisting of 72 ASIC miners.
