Worldcoin allowed potential customers to reserve WLD tokens

The Worldcoin project by Sam Altman opened the possibility for users who have not yet undergone biometric verification to reserve their grant in WLD tokens.

Worldcoin announced the official launch on July 24. The project’s main product — the World ID protocol — is based on zero-knowledge proofs. It is a mobile tool that enables people to verify their identity through iris scanning or a phone number.

In Kenya, the Ministry of Interior temporarily restricted the startup’s local operations. Media reported a raid on a local project warehouse.

As reported, Worldcoin’s Europe manager Ricardo Masaira stated that the World ID identification system would be available to large organisations and governments worldwide.
