Developers of the Wormhole cross-chain protocol announced the launch of a bridge with the Polygon blockchain. The announcement was made within конференции Breakpoint by Solana.
The solution will enable users to move tokens and NFT across the Polygon, Solana, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Terra networks.
Head of Special Projects at Jump Crypto and former Certus One co-founder Hendrik Hofstadt noted that, thanks to the integration, ‘Wormhole realises its vision of uniting a more decentralised and resilient network’.
In October 2020, Solana introduced the cross-chain solution Wormhole, connecting tokens of the Ethereum and Solana networks. It enabled projects, platforms and communities to move tokenised assets between blockchains.
Earlier on November 8, 2021, Brave CEO Brendan Eich and Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko announced a partnership under which the privacy-focused browser would integrate Solana support.
