The Ethereum team managed to make the necessary changes and finalize the hard fork within four hours.<\/p>\n<p>A key component of the update is <span data-descr=\"Ethereum Improvement Proposal \u2014 \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u043b\u043e\u0436\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435 \u043f\u043e \u0443\u043b\u0443\u0447\u0448\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044e Ethereum\" class=\"old_tooltip\">EIP<\/span>-4844. It includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eip4844.com\/\">Proto-Danksharding<\/a> option, aimed at scaling the network by creating a new type of transaction for large binary data arrays (BLOB). Following this, developers will set a date for the mainnet hard fork.<\/p>\n<p>Back in April, the previous Ethereum update, Shapella (Shanghai-Capella), was implemented on April 13, 2023.
