Developers of the Web3 wallet Bitget Wallet<\/a> have announced the integration of the Lightning Network (LN) and ARC-20 token standard as part of their efforts to enhance support for the Bitcoin ecosystem, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

The Lightning Network is a second-layer solution for the Bitcoin blockchain, consisting of payment channels between users. With this integration, Bitget Wallet users can create LN wallets using email as identifiers and receive transfers via LNURL or QR codes.<\/p>\n

ARC-20 is a fungible token standard based on the Atomicals protocol. Compared to Ordinals, it offers several improvements<\/a> aimed at simplifying the creation of digital assets on the blockchain of the first cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n

Unlike BRC-20, the standard requires the use of Taproot addresses only for token creation, not transfers. ARC-20 also features the Proof-of-Work mechanism Bitwork<\/a>, allowing tokens to be mined using GPUs.<\/p>\n
