After the platform refused to voluntarily pay 102 million sums (~$8300), the regulator <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uzbekistan-fines-cryptocurrency-exchange-binance\">took the matter to court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, ForkLog reported that Uzbekistan <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uzbekistan-revises-licensing-procedures-for-bitcoin-exchanges\">revised licensing procedures<\/a> for bitcoin exchanges. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, in April, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uzbekistan-enacts-penalties-for-illegal-cryptocurrency-activities\">criminal and administrative penalties<\/a> for illegal activities related to cryptocurrency mining and usage will come into effect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From March 30, the cryptocurrency exchange OKX will halt services for users in Uzbekistan.
