Yep, that means super scaling\u2728<\/p>\n<p>This trail-blazing\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/45TpNLoow4\">pic.twitter.com\/45TpNLoow4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 StarkWare (@StarkWareLtd) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/StarkWareLtd\/status\/1763347098584359125?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 29, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to the announcement, Stwo is an implementation of the Circle STARK protocol developed in collaboration with Polygon Labs.<\/p>\n<p>The solution is initially an open-source product under the Apache 2.0 license.<\/p>\n<p>StarkWare described Stwo as a &#8220;super-fast verification tool&#8221; for ZKP.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe incredibly fast open-source Stwo program will provide StarkNet developers with an optimized verification experience on all fronts. And yes, this will lead to cheaper transactions for users,\u201d the developers stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to them, the new prover emerged from theoretical work initiated about two years ago. StarkWare specialists then decided to adapt the classic STARK protocol to two main cryptographic curves: secp256k1 and secp256r1. Their goal was to bypass limitations on the use of smaller prime fields, which reduced efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>In a comment to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/279907\/starkware-open-source-zero-knowledge-prover-stwo\">The Block<\/a> during the ETHDenver conference, StarkWare representatives stated that Stwo will enable &#8220;super-efficient&#8221; proofs, reducing delays and processing costs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The team believes this should lead to lower transaction fees and remove limitations in the existing Stone prover.<\/p>\n<p>In February, StarkNet developers from Herodotus, in partnership with StarkWare, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/starkware-introduces-proof-verifier-for-l3-networks\">introduced the Cairo Verifier<\/a>\u2014a cryptographic proof verification system for scaling L3 networks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The StarkWare team, developers of the Ethereum Layer 2 network StarkNet, has announced the launch of a new zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) verification tool named Stwo.
