It is known only that the Ethereum <a href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/address\/0x9bc2d56633f898d7ef5d02b6dc047a7daa34ef35\">wallet<\/a> used for payment was funded via Coinbase.<\/p>\n<p>The seller, known by the pseudonym Peruggia, bought the asset in March 2021 for 4200 ETH, which was valued at $7.57 million at the time. He <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/peruggia_v\/status\/1770543226782437682\">commented<\/a> on the transaction, calling it &#8220;the end of an era.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I have long felt like an impostor. Holding &#8216;punks&#8217; and perhaps NFTs in general hostage, not elevating #7804 as it deserves,&#8221; wrote Peruggia.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He stated that he had been searching for a suitable buyer with the &#8220;right vision&#8221; for over a year.<\/p>\n<p>The largest transaction in the collection remains the sale of CryptoPunk #5822 for 8000 ETH (~$23.7 million at the time) in February 2022. The lowest price among the 1015 NFTs available for purchase is 50.99 ETH (~$178,810).
