\u201cThe next ten years will be about truly upgrading the ecosystem at the user level. Let\u2019s create something that people in low-income countries can actually use,\u201d<\/em> urged Buterin.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

During his speech, the Ethereum co-founder also touched on the topic of the metaverse. The expert acknowledged<\/a> that its \u201cconcept remains poorly defined.\u201d According to Buterin, its realization is still far from the depictions in the film \u201cReady Player One<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe metaverse is not what we think. [\u2026] It is poorly defined and often seen more as a brand name than a product. The concept is envisioned as a virtual universe in which everyone can participate and which belongs to no one. According to the Ethereum co-founder, for the metaverse to function properly, \u201call the various elements of the virtual world that we already have, including cryptocurrency, VR, and some aspects of AI,\u201d are necessary.<\/p>\n
