The support for the ecosystem was fully halted in February 2024, but it appears not all users managed to withdraw their funds due to technical issues.<\/p>\n<p>Before the complete shutdown, users could unlock SOL using a convenient <span data-descr=\"user interface\" class=\"old_tooltip\">UI<\/span>, but afterwards, this option was only available through the Solana command line interface (CLI).<\/p>\n<p>A user known as eggpanned claimed that the CLI proved too complex for some community members, and described the related Discord channel as being in complete disarray.<\/p>\n<p>Several users also encountered unknown errors despite following instructions from the Lido team.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIt is impossible to unstake stSOL because neither of the two solutions provided on the Lido site actually works,\u201d wrote ericxtang in the <a href=\"https:\/\/discord.com\/channels\/761182643269795850\/930399729819475968\">Discord<\/a> channel on March 15.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/solscan.io\/token\/7dHbWXmci3dT8UFYWYZweBLXgycu7Y3iL6trKn1Y7ARj\">Solscan<\/a>, at the time of writing, 112,703 stSOL worth over $25 million remains in circulation, with a total of 31,590 holders.<\/p>\n<p>In a message dated March 30, Pavel Pavlov, a product manager at <span data-descr=\"the team responsible for Lido's development on Solana\" class=\"old_tooltip\">P2P Validator<\/span>, reported an issue with the smart contract underlying the withdrawal function.<\/p>\n<p>Despite identifying the malfunction, the project has \u201cno leverage over the situation,\u201d Pavlov clarified. He has already reached out to the Lido DAO, as the smart contract can only be altered following a community decision.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that the team is also exploring workarounds that do not require code modifications:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI can imagine how frustrating this news might be, but unfortunately, there is no exact timeline [for resolving the issue] at the moment. As stated earlier, the team is fully committed and diligently exploring various paths.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Some users have suggested using the Sanctum or Jupiter protocols to exchange stSOL for SOL or other liquid staking tokens.<\/p>\n<p>Back in late February, the value of assets locked in Lido <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/lidos-locked-value-surpasses-30-billion\">reached $30.56 billion<\/a>.
