According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kearney.com\/service\/digital-analytics\/article\/-\/insights\/racing-toward-the-future-artificial-intelligence-in-southeast-asia\">Kearney<\/a>, by 2030, AI&#8217;s contribution to the region&#8217;s GDP is expected to reach about $1 trillion, with Indonesia accounting for $366 billion and Malaysia for $115 billion.<\/p>\n<p>On May 1, Microsoft announced the establishment of a new regional data center in Thailand and other initiatives in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?22\" data-telegram-post=\"forklogAI\/4779\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Back in April, Microsoft announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/microsoft-commits-1-7-billion-to-ai-infrastructure-in-indonesia\">$1.7 billion investment<\/a> in AI infrastructure in Indonesia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the coming years, Microsoft will invest $2.2 billion in new infrastructure for cloud computing and artificial intelligence in Malaysia.
