He responded to the patent acquisition for &#8220;Blockchain Domain Resolution,&#8221; which he claims is entirely based on open-source technology from their service.<\/p>\n<p>The petition states that the organization &#8220;thrives on decentralization and public benefit.&#8221; The UD patent threatens to distort or destroy their core vision and beliefs. Specifically, they believe that fundamental web functions should be free.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;We need to fight this to ensure that ENS remains unrestricted for everyone,&#8221;<\/em> the company asserts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Managing partner of Cinneamhain Ventures, Adam Cochran, declared the UD patent invalid.
