It would be great if Farcaster followed this example and implemented ZK-likes,&#8221; Buterin wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Zero-knowledge is a cryptographic method that allows one party to prove to another that a statement is true without revealing confidential information. In the context of likes, it allows for reacting to a post without compromising privacy.<\/p>\n<p>The Ethereum co-founder suggested &#8220;borrowing&#8221; ZK technology from Zupoll, a tool used in the &#8220;pop-up city&#8221; project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitadao.com\/event\/zuzalu\">Zuzalu<\/a>. The solution is aimed at decentralization and is used for anonymous voting.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions about ZK-likes began after rumors that X might start hiding user likes.
