Please stay safe and don&#8217;t click any X links!<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sam Kazemian (\u00a4, \u00a4) (@samkazemian) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/samkazemian\/status\/1796654397403107382?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 31, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe Frax Finance account on X is compromised and it seems to be related to insider activity or social engineering within X, as we have no password reset or other issues,\u201d the entrepreneur wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He urged users not to click on any links in the account.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the latest posts in the project&#8217;s feed, which has nearly 92,000 followers, were dated May 30, with no updates from Kazemian.<\/p>\n<p>In late May, X accounts of several influencers and celebrities were <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/celebrity-x-accounts-hacked-to-promote-scams\">hacked<\/a> to promote scams and manipulate the crypto market.<\/p>\n<p>In March, X pages of several industry influencers were <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ifttt-vulnerability-leads-to-crypto-influencers-accounts-being-hacked-on-x\">compromised<\/a> to advertise the scam token PACKY. The hacker allegedly gained access through the IFTTT (If This Then That) automated posting service.<\/p>\n<p>In February, the Frax Finance team <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/frax-finance-launches-fraxtal-l2-blockchain\">launched<\/a> its own layer-two network, Fraxtal, based on Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>In a roadmap titled Singularity, the project <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/frax-finance-targets-100-billion-tvl-in-new-roadmap\">set a goal<\/a> to achieve $100 billion in total value locked in the protocol by 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sam Kazemian, founder of Frax Finance, reported the compromise of the DeFi project&#8217;s account on the social network X and sought assistance in contacting customer support.
