Carstens. The authors of the letter emphasized that Gambaryan has been &#8220;wrongfully detained&#8221; for over three months. They argue that urgent measures are needed before the situation deteriorates further.<\/p>\n<p>In late May, Gambaryan was diagnosed with <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-executive-contracts-malaria-in-nigeria-court-hearing-postponed-to-june-20\">malaria<\/a>. According to the congress members, the demand to transfer him to a private clinic for treatment has not been met. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;We fear for his life. Immediate action is necessary to ensure his safety. We must act quickly before it is too late,&#8221; they added. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier, Nigerian authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-executive-allegedly-flees-nigeria\">accused<\/a> Binance Holdings Limited, Gambaryan, and the exchange&#8217;s director for West and East Africa, Nadeem Anjarwalla, of tax evasion. They are also charged with laundering at least $21.6 billion and conducting specialized financial activities without a license. The company and its executives deny the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Gambaryan was <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nigerian-court-denies-bail-to-binance-executive\">denied bail<\/a> over fears he might flee. Anjarwalla secretly flew from Nigeria to Kenya in late March. However, authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/fugitive-binance-executive-tracked-down-in-kenya\">tracked him down<\/a> there and are preparing extradition.<\/p>\n<p>The exchange has been required to provide <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nigeria-demands-user-data-from-binance\">data on all Nigerian users<\/a> and their transaction history.
