He requested leniency from the court, claiming ignorance of the illegality of his actions. The student also noted that he is the sole breadwinner for his family.<\/p>\n<p>The court sentenced him to 10 days of administrative arrest and ordered the destruction of the Galaxy A30 phone and the bank card used in the transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Since January 2024, Uzbekistan has implemented <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uzbekistan-enacts-penalties-for-illegal-cryptocurrency-activities\">fines and penalties<\/a> for illegal cryptocurrency operations.<\/p>\n<p>The country also mandates registration for cryptocurrency service providers.
