Previously, the company successfully created a prototype <span data-descr=\"application-specific integrated circuit \u2014 \u0438\u043d\u0442\u0435\u0433\u0440\u0430\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0441\u0445\u0435\u043c\u0430 \u0441\u043f\u0435\u0446\u0438\u0430\u043b\u044c\u043d\u043e\u0433\u043e \u043d\u0430\u0437\u043d\u0430\u0447\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044f\" class=\"old_tooltip\">ASIC<\/span> for mining based on a 5nm process.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Core Scientific and Block will jointly develop a bitcoin mining device based on the 3nm chip with support from equipment manufacturer ePIC Blockchain Technologies.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBy integrating Block&#8217;s advanced ASIC chips into Core Scientific&#8217;s infrastructure, we aim to provide a modular mining platform that redefines expectations for efficiency and reliability in large-scale operations,\u201d noted ePIC&#8217;s CTO Earl Mai.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the statement, Proto&#8217;s initiative aims to enhance the decentralization, transparency, and resilience of the bitcoin network. The team intends to achieve this by creating mining chips, systems, and software solutions, including a Mining Development Kit currently in beta testing.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThrough this approach, we strive to encourage innovation and expand the bitcoin mining hardware ecosystem.
