The deadline for the decision is September 21, but further steps from the <span data-descr=\"Options Clearing Corporation\" class=\"old_tooltip\">OCC<\/span> and the <span data-descr=\"U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">CFTC<\/span> will be required, according to Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We think the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> ETF options happen in 4th quarter this year. Besides CBOE, Nasdaq and the <span data-descr=\"New York Stock Exchange\" class=\"old_tooltip\">NYSE<\/span> are also involved in the process.<\/p>\n<p>Seyffart believes there is &#8220;definitely some movement&#8221; regarding options for spot BTC-ETFs.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">UPDATE: There&#8217;s definitely some movement on Bitcoin ETF options. <\/p>\n<p>CBOE just withdrew their application for options on spot <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> ETFs. [\u2026] But at the same time they just<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.cboe.com\/resources\/regulation\/rule_filings\/pending\/2024\/SR-CBOE-2024-035.pdf\"><em>re-filed<\/em><\/a><em> a completely new and revised application,&#8221;<\/em> commented the expert.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The analyst highlighted that in the updated form, CBOE proposes to amend rules to allow the exchange to list and trade options on BTC-ETFs from Fidelity, Ark Invest\/21Shares, Invesco, Franklin Templeton, VanEck, WisdomTree, Grayscale, Bitwise, BlackRock, and Valkyrie.<\/p>\n<p>In the application filed in January, the issuers of the underlying instruments were not specified.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;The initial application was 15 pages. The new one has more &#8216;meat&#8217; \u2014 44 pages. Does this mean the <span data-descr=\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SEC<\/span> gave some feedback?
