As part of the partnership, individuals will gain access to personal identity verifications (iris scanning).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe agreement with the Malaysian government follows recent Worldcoin launches in <a href=\"https:\/\/worldcoin.org\/blog\/announcements\/world-id-verification-launches-austria-increasing-proof-humanness-access-europe\">Europe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/worldcoin.org\/blog\/announcements\/world-id-verification-coming-ecuador\">Latin America<\/a>. To date, 6,464,670 people worldwide have been identified using Worldcoin,\u201d the release states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>TFH will provide technical expertise and support for both devices and the application. MyEG will focus on the integration and deployment of equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration may also extend to joint production of orbs.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2023, Worldcoin disabled biometric verification via orbs for users in India, Brazil, and France.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, the project attracted the interest of authorities in the UK, France, Germany, and Argentina.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/portuguese-authorities-halt-worldcoins-biometric-data-collection\">Portugal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/spain-temporarily-halts-worldcoin-operations\">Spain<\/a> ordered the halt of personal data collection.<\/p>\n<p>In June 2024, the Kenyan prosecutor&#8217;s office ceased its investigation into the company.
