These could include a six-month suspension of activities or the \u201cimmediate and permanent closure\u201d of operations related to confidential data.<\/p>\n<p>Worldcoin launched in Colombia in June. World ID orb verifications are now available in Bogot\u00e1 &#038; Medell\u00edn ?? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4AdrI57WMu\">pic.twitter.com\/4AdrI57WMu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Worldcoin (@worldcoin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/worldcoin\/status\/1796195335976489271?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 30, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In December 2023, Worldcoin disabled the biometric verification feature using orbs for users in India, Brazil, and France.<\/p>\n<p>The project has attracted interest from authorities in Argentina, the UK, France, and Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities in <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/portuguese-authorities-halt-worldcoins-biometric-data-collection\">Portugal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/spain-temporarily-halts-worldcoin-operations\">Spain<\/a> have ordered the halt of personal data collection.<\/p>\n<p>Back in June 2024, the Kenyan prosecutor&#8217;s office ended its investigation into Worldcoin.
