In two years, artificial intelligence will write code instead of programmers, according to Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Matt Garman, reports Business Insider<\/a> citing conversation records.<\/p>\n

“If you fast forward 24 months or some time ahead, I can’t predict the exact timeframe, it’s quite possible that most developers will not be coding,” he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In a document obtained by the media, Garman speaks not of dismissing developers, but of redefining their role.<\/p>\n

“Coding is just a language we use to talk to computers. It’s not necessarily a skill in itself. It’s about how do I innovate? How do I create something that will be interesting to my end users,” noted the AWS chief.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Garman believes programmers can offload the heavy work to AI, focusing instead on specialized tasks.<\/p>\n

Earlier, HBR found in a study that integrating artificial intelligence into the workflow makes workers feel isolated and may reduce productivity.<\/p>\n
