Now that number is 2400 per week,&#8221; explained Oz Tamir, Head of Research and Development at Blockaid.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to him, Inferno Drainer likely lacks special features that attract wrongdoers. Typically, they prefer accessible tools with low fees.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, Blockaid notes an increase in fraud attempts by various threat actors\u2014on average, their scanning detects 180,000 malicious entities per week. Tamir links this trend to &#8220;bullish movements&#8221; in the market.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;More users and money are entering the ecosystem, so wrongdoers are increasingly motivated to invest in new, unconventional attacks,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The researcher added that &#8220;lesser security measures&#8221; in new networks provide hackers with opportunities for quick gains. <\/p>\n<p>Inferno Drainer was advertised as a multichain scam. Its creators offered clients an administration panel with the ability to configure phishing pages and even provided a trial version.
