We are restructuring the organization and parting ways with many amazing team members (~16% of the team). We\u2019ve already reached out\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Alex G. (\u220e, \u2206) (@gluk64) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gluk64\/status\/1830968752210375030?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 3, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to the CEO, the company has taken steps to adapt to &#8220;different types of technologies and support&#8221; now required by the L2 project.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cWe conducted extensive organizational planning. It became clear that the talents and roles we have today do not fully meet our needs,\u201d noted Gluchowski.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/matterlabs\/about\/\" title=\"company profile on LinkedIn\">company profile on LinkedIn<\/a>, it employs up to 200 people. Thus, about 30 individuals will be affected by the layoffs.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021-2022, ZKsync <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptorank.io\/ico\/zksync\">raised $450 million in investments<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In June, the project <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zksync-to-distribute-3-6-billion-zk-tokens-in-airdrop\">conducted an airdrop<\/a> of 3.6 million ZK tokens.
