At the time of writing, the address identified by Arkham as Vitalik Buterin&#8217;s holds assets worth $560.3 million.<\/p>\n<p>In late August, the Ethereum co-founder <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/vitalik-buterin-denies-selling-his-eth-holdings\">assured<\/a> users that he had not sold his ETH holdings and had retained the proceeds since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that all asset sales were directed towards supporting various projects or charitable causes. Going forward, I plan to do this only through donations,\u201d the programmer stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On August 9, he <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/vitalik-buterins-address-transfers-8-million-in-ethereum\">transferred 3000 ETH<\/a> (approximately $7.9 million at the time) to a multisig wallet. This led analysts at Lookonchain to speculate that the funds were intended for donations.<\/p>\n<p>SpotOnChain <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/vitalik-buterin-transfers-1-05-million-in-eth-to-railgun-mixer\">noted<\/a> Buterin&#8217;s regular use of the Railgun transaction privacy service in recent months.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Elliptic specialists classified the protocol as a popular alternative to the US-sanctioned Tornado Cash mixer.
