In January, the startup <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/neuralink-successfully-implants-first-brain-chip-in-human\">successfully implanted<\/a> a brain chip in its first volunteer. Soon after, the individual <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/neuralinks-brain-chip-enables-mind-controlled-cursor\">learned to control<\/a> a computer mouse with thought alone.<\/p>\n<p>In August, Musk announced the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/neuralink-implants-brain-chip-in-second-patient-promises-superhuman-abilities\">successful completion<\/a> of a new operation. He noted that his startup&#8217;s BCI will not only allow paralyzed individuals to control simple computer interfaces with their minds but also grant exceptional abilities, including thermal or eagle vision.<\/p>\n<p>The second patient, weeks after the operation, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/neuralinks-second-patient-masters-gaming-and-3d-design-with-brain-chip\">learned<\/a> to play video games and use software for designing 3D objects.<\/p>\n<p>BCI integration is not exclusive to Neuralink.
