The U3S21EXPH will be the first ASIC miner mass-commercialized by BITMAIN to feature direct liquid-to-chip (DLC) cooling within a U form factor.<\/p>\n<p>Hut 8 plans to deploy the model in\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/810M78NJ9o\">pic.twitter.com\/810M78NJ9o<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Hut 8 (@Hut8Corp) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Hut8Corp\/status\/1836737019260911861?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 19, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The key feature of the device is the direct liquid-to-chip (DLC) cooling technology, commonly used in data centers for high-performance computing.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hut 8&#8217;s website, the U3S21EXPH can achieve a hash rate of 860 TH\/s with an energy efficiency of 13 joules per terahash.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement includes the deployment of a new center with a total capacity of 15 EH\/s in the second quarter of 2025, &#8220;with a potential transition to self-mining through a purchase option.&#8221; The parties will also work on integrating AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The commissioning of new capacities is expected to increase Hut 8&#8217;s available hash rate from the current 18.5 EH\/s to 33.5 EH\/s.<\/p>\n<p>Following the block reward reduction after the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-undergoes-fourth-halving\">April halving<\/a>, the profitability of mining the first cryptocurrency has significantly decreased, as illustrated in the graph below.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/miner-1.webp\" alt=\"miner-1\" class=\"wp-image-241480\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Miner revenue per terahash.
