This was announced by <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/durov\/345\" title=\"\">Pavel Durov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>User data may be disclosed to &#8220;relevant authorities in response to legitimate legal requests.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The head of the messaging app noted that its search system is &#8220;more powerful&#8221; compared to other applications, as it allows the discovery of public channels and bots. However, this feature has been exploited by individuals to sell illegal goods.<\/p>\n<p>In recent weeks, a special team of moderators has used AI to make searching on Telegram &#8220;much safer.&#8221; All &#8220;problematic content&#8221; is no longer accessible.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;These measures should deter criminals. Telegram&#8217;s search is intended for finding friends and news, not promoting illegal goods. We will not allow wrongdoers to compromise the integrity of our platform for nearly a billion users,&#8221; Durov stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Since September, Telegram has been promptly processing and responding to legal requests from European authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Back in August, French authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/telegrams-pavel-durov-detained-in-france\">detained<\/a> Durov as part of an investigation opened on July 8.<\/p>\n<p>On August 28, the founder of Telegram was <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/pavel-durov-placed-under-judicial-supervision-with-e5-million-bail\">placed<\/a> under judicial supervision with a \u20ac5 million bail and the requirement to appear at the police station twice a week.
