Yuki Gambaryan made her appeal on the Designated podcast. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DvjMcelaGRA?si=nToUtscWH-lNCc9D\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to Yuki Gambaryan, Tigran&#8217;s health is rapidly deteriorating. He requires a tonsillectomy due to persistent respiratory infections and is unable to walk because of a herniated disc. <\/p>\n<p>She believes the US government is her only hope to bring her husband home. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I want the State Department to officially declare Tigran unlawfully detained as soon as possible. I believe they have the means, power, and leverage to solve such problems, which gives me a little hope,&#8221; she said on the podcast. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Yuki Gambaryan added that their children, aged ten and five, constantly ask about their father.<\/p>\n<p>On September 26, the US House Foreign Affairs Committee adopted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/house-resolution\/1348\/text\">resolution<\/a> demanding Nigerian authorities release the Binance executive from wrongful detention and provide him with &#8220;unrestricted medical care.&#8221; It also calls for the use of &#8220;all available assets&#8221; of the US State Department to resolve the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Previous appeals to the Nigerian government have been ignored.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The State Department is fully engaged in Gambaryan&#8217;s case, and they are weighing the facts according to their procedure. But regardless of how this process ends, we must continue to pressure the Nigerian government,&#8221; said Democratic Representative Gregory Meeks.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The resolution will be reconsidered by the US House of Representatives after the presidential elections in November.<\/p>\n<p>Gambaryan and the director of the exchange in West and East Africa, Nadim Anjarwalla, were <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-executives-detained-in-nigeria-amid-cryptocurrency-crackdown\">detained<\/a> following a meeting with Nigerian authorities in February. Along with Binance Holdings Limited, they were <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-executive-allegedly-flees-nigeria\">accused<\/a> of tax evasion and money laundering. The company and executives deny the charges.<\/p>\n<p>In late March, Anjarwalla secretly flew from Nigeria to Kenya. However, authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/fugitive-binance-executive-tracked-down-in-kenya\">tracked him down<\/a> there and arranged for extradition.<\/p>\n<p>In June, Nigeria&#8217;s Federal Inland Revenue Service <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nigeria-drops-tax-charges-against-binance-executives\">dropped<\/a> tax evasion charges against the executives. However, they remain involved in the money laundering case.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/us-lawmakers-highlight-deteriorating-health-of-binance-executive-in-nigerian-prison\">US Representatives<\/a> French Hill and Chrissy Houlahan, who visited Gambaryan in prison, stated that he is not receiving adequate medical care.
