This was announced by the messaging app&#8217;s founder, Pavel Durov.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?22\" data-telegram-post=\"durov\/361\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Telegram servers now compress videos into multiple quality options and optimize them for streaming, automatically selecting the most suitable resolution based on the user&#8217;s connection speed.<\/p>\n<p>According to Durov, the messenger is taking &#8220;the first step towards becoming a video platform.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the team has enabled the placement of advertisements in bots and mini-applications, allowing them to receive a share of revenue from official advertising.<\/p>\n<p>Other updates include:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>increased message limits for bots;<\/li>\n<li>adding photos to sent messages;<\/li>\n<li>displaying the time of the last message edit;<\/li>\n<li>internal hashtags in chats;<\/li>\n<li>precise reaction counters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Earlier in October, Durov announced the conversion of a limited number of gifts into NFTs on the TON blockchain.
