But this is a likely reason for interest in bitcoin\u2014its potential as a reserve asset. And if bitcoin rises in price, it helps offset obligations such as the deficit,&#8221; he stated.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The host reminded the expert of his <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tom-lee-predicts-bitcoin-to-reach-150000-by-end-of-2024\">forecast of digital gold reaching $150,000<\/a>. Lee did not retract his words, suggesting the asset could exceed $100,000 by the end of 2024.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>&#8220;I think now, in the [post-halving] era, bitcoin is becoming more relevant. The regulatory burden is decreasing, so there is great potential for an upward move,&#8221; explained the Fundstrat co-founder.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In January, Lee suggested the price of the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tom-lee-predicts-bitcoin-surge-to-500000-within-five-years\">leading cryptocurrency could reach $500,000<\/a> within the next five years.
