(@blockspacepod) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/blockspacepod\/status\/1861050557244272648?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 25, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to sources, customs officials nationwide are detaining certain shipments at the request of the <span data-descr=\"Federal Communications Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">FCC<\/span>. Some Bitmain miners have been in port warehouses for two months, with customers required to pay additional storage fees.<\/p>\n<p>Blockspace reports that the customs agency has not provided further details on the reasons or duration of the delays, referring inquiries to the FCC. A Commission representative told the publication they were unaware of such a request.<\/p>\n<p>One affected company has reportedly hired lawyers to obtain more information from government agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Industry representatives noted that import issues in the U.S. have only affected Bitmain. They stated that other mining equipment manufacturers have not been impacted.<\/p>\n<p>Such delays are rare in the American mining industry. Blockspace sources suggest it may be related to a chip on the control board in some Antminer models.<\/p>\n<p>The chip in question is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sophgo.com\/sophon-u\/product\/introduce\/cv1835.html\">CV1835<\/a> from Chinese company Sophgo.
