This perspective was shared by Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas in a comment to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/328516\/markets-experts-debate-possible-dogecoin-etf-filings-in-2025-todays-satire-is-tomorrows-etf\">The Block<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cToday&#8217;s satire is tomorrow&#8217;s ETF. [\u2026] Ask yourself, is a DOGE[-ETF] too ambitious? We&#8217;ll see. I think someone will try [to implement] it, because why not?\u201d he said.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to crypto analyst Luis Sykes of All-Star Charts, a DOGE-ETF is \u201cfar less likely\u201d than a Solana-ETF. The latter, the expert believes, will be approved by the SEC in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cLet&#8217;s just say, Wall Street prefers assets that weren&#8217;t born as a meme,\u201d he explained.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>CEO of Two Prime Digital Assets Alexander Blum is confident that applications for a Dogecoin-ETF will \u201cdefinitely be submitted.\u201d The only question is whether the SEC will approve them.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the meme cryptocurrency ranks seventh among digital assets on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/dogecoin\">CoinGecko<\/a> with a market capitalization of $62.6 billion. DOGE is trading at $0.42, with an all-time high of $0.73 in May 2021.<\/p>\n<p>In November, it was announced that Elon Musk would head the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the U.S. government.<\/p>\n<p>The billionaire has repeatedly <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/court-dismisses-258-billion-lawsuit-against-elon-musk-over-dogecoin-promotion\">boosted<\/a> Dogecoin and called the meme coin his \u201cfavorite cryptocurrency.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may soon receive applications for an exchange-traded fund (ETF) based on the price of the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin.
