During the week from November 17 to 25, 645 active MEV bots were recorded on the blockchain. Their actions affected 43,397 traders\u20146.2% of the total number.<\/p>\n

The total trading volume on DEX on BNB Chain for the period was $9.23 billion. ‘Sandwich bot’ operations accounted for $1.32 billion, targeting transactions worth $1.5 billion.<\/p>\n

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has repeatedly addressed the issue of MEV, describing the technology as one of the three major threats<\/a> to the network’s decentralization. According to him, a limited number of solution operators unfairly capture value that should belong to all users.<\/p>\n

In July, the Solana Foundation expelled a group of validators<\/a> from its delegation program for participating in ‘sandwich attacks’. It was later revealed that the majority of the owners of the blocked nodes were Russian citizens<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As reported, a well-known MEV bot on Solana earned approximately $30 million<\/a> from user transaction arbitrage in just two months.<\/p>\n

However, manipulations are not always effective. In September, software took a flash loan of $11.7 million for a ‘sandwich attack’ on a Shuffle (SHFL) token transaction worth $5,000.
