They attributed the discrepancy to the addition of digital gold to the corporation&#8217;s reserves.<\/p>\n<p>Experts also noted the launch of Bitcoin ETFs by BlackRock and Fidelity. These issuers are the second and fourth largest institutional investors in the tech giant.<\/p>\n<p>The NCPPR believes it is prudent to consider the benefits of Amazon holding &#8220;even 5%&#8221; of its assets in the leading cryptocurrency to maximize shareholder capital &#8220;without excessive volatility.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Back in December, during a presentation to Microsoft&#8217;s board of directors, MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor presented a crypto strategy aimed at adding $5 trillion to the corporation&#8217;s capitalization.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the investment appeal of digital gold has increased due to the change in the U.S. government and the idea of a national Bitcoin reserve.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, only 0.01% of public companies worldwide hold the leading cryptocurrency, according to OKG Research.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Center for Public Policy Research (NCPPR), representing Amazon shareholders, has proposed that the tech giant&#8217;s board of directors explore the possibility of converting &#8220;at least 5% of assets&#8221; into Bitcoin.
