Please DO NOT engage with the account and stay vigilant.<\/p>\n<p>We will provide an\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Animoca Brands (@animocabrands) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/animocabrands\/status\/1872094029451772161?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 26, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>This incident is part of a series of attacks affecting profiles of the streaming platform Kick, AI assistant Cursor, World (formerly Worldcoin) co-founder Alex Blania, meme coin Brett, and the <span data-descr=\"a method of monetizing content on social networks based on DeFi technologies\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SocialFi<\/span> application The Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Unknown individuals sent emails purportedly from X&#8217;s support service, urging users to click a phishing link to reset access. The compromised accounts were used to advertise fake tokens. <\/p>\n<p>The initial report of Siu&#8217;s profile compromise came from on-chain detective <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/zachxbt\/status\/1872121798193819720\">ZachXBT<\/a>. According to his information, the token was promoted in Siu&#8217;s name by the same address involved in previous incidents.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, posts made by the hackers in Siu&#8217;s name have been removed.<\/p>\n<p>In November, hackers promoted a fraudulent token from the compromised X account of rapper Wiz Khalifa, who has 35.7 million followers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hackers breached the X account of Animoca Brands&#8217; head, Yat Siu, to promote a fraudulent token. \u203c\ufe0f?
