{"id":20313,"date":"2025-01-14T15:38:06","date_gmt":"2025-01-14T13:38:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/mercedes-benz-to-add-googles-ai-assistant-to-cla-models-in-2025\/"},"modified":"2025-01-14T15:38:06","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T13:38:06","slug":"mercedes-benz-to-add-googles-ai-assistant-to-cla-models-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/mercedes-benz-to-add-googles-ai-assistant-to-cla-models-in-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercedes-Benz to add Google\u2019s AI assistant to CLA models in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes-Benz will integrate Google\u2019s AI assistant into CLA models in 2025, the American company\u2019s blog <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/feed\/mercedes-google-cloud-automotive-ai-agent\/\">says<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Google Cloud has unveiled Automotive AI Agent\u2014an in-car AI agent based on <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/google-unveils-gemini-2-0-with-advanced-ai-enhancements\">Gemini<\/a>\u2014which offers:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>enhanced vehicle interaction through personalised, conversational control;<\/li>\n<li>natural-speech understanding, multilingual support and multimodality;<\/li>\n<li>a toolkit for tuning the neural network;<\/li>\n<li>easy integration into existing vehicle architectures and operating systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAutomotive AI Agent is configured to let automakers build highly personalised and intuitive AI agents for cars that go beyond voice control,\u201d the developers claim.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On the road, a driver could ask the assistant for directions to the nearest Italian restaurant and enquire about its reviews.<\/p>\n<p>Integration into Mercedes\u2019s MBUX infotainment system will surface up-to-date information from Google Maps. Drivers and passengers will be able to use voice commands to obtain detailed information about nearby attractions and traffic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The AI agent will enable MBUX to handle complex, multi-turn dialogues and remember them.<\/p>\n<p>In early 2024, it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/1\/9\/24028012\/mercedes-benz-mbux-voice-assistant-ai-llm-mbos-ces\">became known<\/a> that Mercedes-Benz intended to integrate an AI assistant into its cars.<\/p>\n<p>A year earlier, the German company and Google <a href=\"https:\/\/group.mercedes-benz.com\/company\/news\/mercedes-benz-and-google.html\">announced<\/a> a long-term strategic partnership to accelerate automotive innovation.<\/p>\n<p>In August last year, Mercedes-Benz <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/mercedes-benz-partners-with-bytedance-for-ai-integration\">partnered<\/a> with ByteDance\u2019s cloud division, Volcano Engine, to collaborate on AI.<\/p>\n<p>In June 2023, the group announced voice control based on ChatGPT.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes-Benz will integrate Google\u2019s AI assistant into CLA models in 2025, the American company\u2019s blog says.
